Psychological Well-being Part 3

1–2 minutes

Here are some more ways to stay healthy and pass some time.

Staying Busy – TV

When facing a chronic injury like crps, it is extremely overwhelming. When studying gets boring, and you just need a break, watching some TV might help relive some stress.

When considering using devices during a time like this, it is important to think about what is beneficial. Using social media is not a way to help out. Instead of resting, you end up harming yourself. Social media promotes unrealistic standards and situations, which end up causing some to decide to compare themselves. This can end up harming you instead.

However, television does not have this same drawback. It obviously is bad for your eyes with excessive usage, but it provides an opportunity to distract yourself. Immersing yourself in an enjoyable show or movie can be a nice way of getting rest while also focusing your attention on the TV rather than the pain. In my case, it was a lifesaver. I binge-watched multiple shows, alongside doing my work, and found a way to enjoy my time and take some much needed breaks.
