Having healthy family relationships.

Family
Something like CRPS is a life altering event. It feels like no one understands that. People claim that you will be okay, but you are the one going through it, and you know that they have most likely not gone through anything like it. Even so, sometimes you need to just be vulnerable. You need to rely on others to lessen the burden on yourself.
In my case, I was initially resistant to a lot of support I was offered. I cooped up in my room, and chose to not share what was going on. When I finally decided that I could not bottle up what was going on anymore, it felt like a load was lifted off me. I was able to share what I was going through. It not only improved my mood, but also my motivation at the time, which was running low.
Your family will always be there for you. Even if you are not on the best of terms, family is family. They support each other in times of crisis, and they will always back you up.
Trust me, rely on others.
